Fred Luddy

Fred Luddy has served as ServiceNow's Chief Product Officer since May 2011, after having founded ServiceNow in June 2004. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer from that time until May 2011 and as a director since June 2004.

Prior to joining ServiceNow, Luddy served as Chief Technology Officer of Peregrine Systems, Inc., an enterprise software company, from April 1990 to October 2003. Prior to that role, Luddy founded Enterprise Software Associates, and was employed by Boole and Babbage, Inc., and the Amdahl Corporation. His products are used by thousands of corporations worldwide and have generated revenue well in excess of one billion dollars.

He created his first software program, an automated supply chain and maintenance utility for a business unit of American Standard, at the age of eighteen. Over his varied career, he has also written a competitive operating system to IBM's mainframe offering, a set of performance management improvements for the IBM mainframe environment, a PC video conferencing and collaboration system, and a unix/linux based application development environment.
